Degree Audit Report System (DARS)

How do I find out how many of the degree requirements I've completed?

  • A Degree Audit Report, commonly called a "degree check" is a report that compares your record to the requirements for the degree. The University creates two separate audits, one for the College requirements and one for the major requirements.

  • The University now has a computerized degree audit reporting system (DARS), which makes it possible for you to request your own audit through Bear Facts.

  • We urge you to try to keep track of how you stand on your own! There is a Degree Audit Worksheet in the Guide for your use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q - I checked my DAR during my sophomore year. Is there any reason for me to request another one now?

A - Yes. It is a good idea to request an updated DAR after each term to insure that your records are complete and accurate.

Q - If my DAR shows something that I think (or know) is a mistake, what should I do?

A - Don't panic! There is plenty of time to get it fixed, and the University is not going to insist the Audit is right if you point out a mistake. Our office has a "Degree Audit Report Correction Request" available at our front desk at 113 Campbell Hall; come fill one of those out, and we will work on your DAR until it is correct.
