Environmental Economics and Policy

Environmental Economics and Policy is an impacted ("capped") major. Due to very high demand, special restrictions on declaration of the major are in effect. Transfer students must apply during their first semester. Non-transfer students must apply prior to exceeding 80 units of post-high school coursework. See the department website for details.

Students in the Environmental Economics and Policy major at Berkeley explore aspects of economics and political institutions that affect the development and management of natural resources and the environment, including both renewable resources such as food, forests, and water and resources in fixed supply such as land and minerals.
