Advanced Placement Examinations

General Information:

  • Advanced Placement (AP) credit may be used to satisfy these requirements:
  • AP credit may not be used to fulfill the seven-course breadth requirement.
  • To earn credit for Advanced Placement, you must score 3 or higher.
  • These tests must have been taken before admission to the College of Letters and Science.
  • Consult individual departments such as Mathematics, History, Spanish, etc., for course equivalencies.
  • AP credit earned before entering the College does not count toward maximum unit limitations, either for selection of a major or for graduation, unless the student so desires.
  • Note: Students who duplicate AP credit with course work may have their AP credit deducted from their transcript.
